If you lack transportation to attend HEB’s 23rd Annual Feast of Sharing on Wednesday, don’t worry.
The annual thanksgiving event is one of the largest gatherings in Brownsville and the city wants to keep it that way.
Brownsville’s public transportation department and Brownsville Metro have joined forces to support the annual feast by providing free rides along all bus routes between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jacob Brown Auditorium, 600 International Blvd.
According to HEB’s website, the Feast of Sharing is the culmination of a year‑round commitment grocery store makes to fighting hunger. In addition to a holiday meal you can enjoy music, arts and crafts, and kids activities‑even an appearance by Santa himself
Pick-ups will take place at all bus stops and drop-off will take place at La Plaza at Brownsville, 755 International Blvd.
“Brownsville Metro is honored to support HEB’s Feast of Sharing Event that celebrates family traditions,” said Brownsville Metro Director Norma Zamora. “Brownsville Metro is committed to promoting community involvement and creating a positive change for our patrons in the community.”
